Time Slots use color codes to help you identify, at a glance, some key information about each appointment. Each time slot references two color codes: one on the left, and one on the right.
When the left side of a Time Slot is Gray, it means the appointment is available to be booked.
The right side of the Time Slot indicates the Appointment Type.
In the above example, we see only Diagnostic appointments (Blue), and Follow Up appointments (Purple). When a Time Slot has been booked, the entire slot will fill with the color of the appointment type and display the patient’s name and appointment type.
Appointment Types:
Better Day has six main Appointment Types (see above). These are set up by default and cannot be changed.
Because BDH is customizable to fit the needs of any medical practice, Appointment Types can be further split into Subtypes. Here is an example of how a clinic might set up additional time slot Subtypes:
You will notice each Subtype is a subcategory of one of the default Appointment Types. This allows your clinic to customize and set specific options for your calendar time slots. In the example above, the first 6 Subtypes are Diagnostic. Now a clinic calendar can display Diagnostic Time Slots specifically for a New Patient, Established Patient, New Patient with Medicare, or Established Patient with Medicaid, etc. Again, these Subtypes will look different for your clinic and are set up by your clinic administrator.
