The Drag and Drop feature is a quick and convenient way to reschedule appointments in the Calendar View.
NOTE: Be sure to include Needs to Be Rescheduled as one of your Appointment Status filter selections. (From the dropdown arrow a list appears; scroll down to view the complete list.)
- Left click and hold to drag the appointment to any available time slot currently showing on your screen.
- To move the appointment to a future time slot not showing on your screen, Drag and Drop the appointment you wish to reschedule to the Reschedule Clipboard (the clipboard will automatically open as you begin to drag the appointment toward it).
(Note: The appointment to be rescheduled now has hash marks, holding the original appointment slot until a new slot has been selected. You can restore the appointment to its original slot by dragging it back from the clipboard to the original slot, or changing its status from Needs to Be Rescheduled to Booked.)
- Locate the future available appointment slot you would like to use and Drag and Drop the appointment from the Reschedule Clipboard to the new appointment slot.
(Note: Once the appointment is rescheduled, the hash marks are removed from the previous appointment slot and the status in now seen as Available.)
3a. The appointment has now been moved from the clipboard and appears in the calendar grid.
