This lesson covers the steps it takes to create a New Patient, and Existing Patient appointment. You will also learn how to search for an existing patient in the system.
ABOUT THE PATIENT SEARCH BAR:
Throughout this course the Search Bar is also referred to as the Person Search Bar. In the Better Day Health system, the terms "Patient" and "Person" are used interchangeably because the records for ALL system users--including patients, providers and staff members--are found in a singular data base, accessed through the Patient/Person search bar.
The Patient Search Bar can search by using the Patient (Person) name, date of birth, or social security number.
