The Appointment Patient Summary is a convenient way to review a patient's health records before beginning the patient encounter.
To view the Appointment Patient Summary, left click on the Summary icon in the first column of the grid to open the Appointment Patient Summary pop-up window.
The Patient Information section lists the patient’s basic data as well as their Primary Insurance Payer and Primary Care Provider.
The Appointment Information section provides data entered by the Front Desk and Nurse & Support staff. If the provider wishes to include the N&S Narrative in the patient’s HPI section, they click the Copy to Narrative button. The HPI section is found in the Hx & Symptoms tab.

Under the Patient’s Appointments heading, the patient's previous appointments at your clinics may be reviewed.
Clicking Summary lets you view the appointment summary and treatment plan of that visit. Close that window by clicking on the X in the top right and it will return you to today's visit summary.
Note that new information entered by the patient during the online Pre Check In is shown as not confirmed and will need to be confirmed during the patient encounter.

The History Age filter, sorts records according to the age of the record, helping to find only the most relevant information.
The filter ranges from 6 Months, to 3 years, to All, and affects only the headings shown below the filter.
When the Appointment Patient Summary review is complete, click “Mark Reviewed & Open” to close the summary and open the patient’s chart to start your encounter.
Or, you can click “Mark as Reviewed” or return to the top and click Cancel to return to your Appointments List screen.
