Summary:
When you first log on to your Better Day Health account you will be presented with your Appointments List screen.
At the top of the screen is the Module Bar. Each of the tabs, or “modules,” opens a separate work area in the software. The different roles a user has in an organization determine which modules the user has been granted access to and which tabs they’ll see.
As a provider, you’ll have the Provider module, the Patients module, which allows you to quickly access patient records, and the Messaging module, an important tool for inter-office communications. Depending on your needs, you may have other modules available to you, as well.
In the upper right corner of the screen is a My Tasks button. This tool allows you to create tasks and reminders for yourself or other members of your staff.
The Better Day Chat tool allows you to quickly communicate with other members of the staff who are signed in to their accounts. Chat is akin to instant messaging, and Messaging is akin to email.
The Help icon connects you to the Better Day Health Help Desk with helpful videos and articles to answer questions, or to contact the Better Day Health Support Team for more information.
Below the Module Bar is the Patient Search Box. Here you can search for a patient’s records by name, date of birth, or social security number.
To the right of the Patient Search Box is the Notification Center.
- The red box shows alerts about medications.
- The green box shows notifications about imaging orders and results.
- The yellow box shows notifications about labs and results.
- The blue box shows notifications about messages. It communicates with your messaging and chats.
To the right of the notification center, you’ll see your log in information. Here you’ll see your username and the name of the clinic to which you’re currently connected. If you are assigned to more than one clinic in your organization, you can quickly switch back and forth here. Clicking on your username opens your user profile where you can perform tasks like changing your password.
If you navigate away from the Appointments List screen, you can quickly return to it by clicking on the Better Day Health logo or the Providers tab.
On the far right side of the screen is the Right Side Menu. The content of the Right Side Menu changes depending on which screen you are currently viewing.
The appointment filters allow you to select which appointments appear in the grid view.
In the appointment grid view, you’ll see the patient’s name, age, and appointment type. Moving to the right, you’ll see the appointment time, current status, exam room, Time At Current Status, and Total Time since check in, along with the most recently recorded height and weight and vital signs.
In the left-hand column, LEFT clicking on the Summary icon opens a handy Appointment Patient Summary.
LEFT clicking on the patient’s picture opens this patient’s Patient Dashboard.
To open the patient’s chart and begin your encounter, LEFT click anywhere in the appointment grid (other than the Summary icon or the patient picture).
