1. Setting up "Allowed" Documents to Send to Patient Portal
** NOTE: this only functions with documents processed AFTER the setting is turned on.
** A ticket can be placed to request document types to be populated retroactive via script.
** Documents requiring Provider Signature will not populate the Patient Portal until the signature has been completed.
- In Super Admin --> Dictionaries --> Document Types (21.)
- Select the document type to open and edit
- Make sure the "Staff Only" checkbox is de-selected (un-checked)
2. Email Notifications
- Email notifications for new documents uploaded to patient portal must have the "Receive email notifications" selected/turned on.
- Patient can edit this via their Patient Portal Home --> Profile --> Settings
- Staff users may edit via Patient Dashboard --> Right Side Menu --> Person Info --> Edit
3. Text Message (SMS) Notifications
- Text Message/SMS notifications for new documents uploaded to patient portal must have the "Receive SMS Alerts notifications" selected/turned on.
- Patient can edit this via their Patient Portal Home --> Profile --> Settings
- Staff users may edit via Patient Dashboard --> Right Side Menu --> Person Info --> Edit
- Set up Job Scheduler
- In Super Admin --> Right Side Menu --> Job Scheduler --> Add "New" --> Select "New Patient Document Notification Job
- Set Cron Expression to how job should run (Free Cron Expression generators available online: https://www.freeformatter.com/cron-expression-generator-quartz.html.
- Save
4. Patients Document Access
- Patient Portal Home --> Documents --> Select Document to Open
- Documents may be Printed, Downloaded and Viewed Full Screen
5. Manual (Staff User) Document Release to Patient Portal - individual document release
- Staff users can access patient documents via Patient Dashboard --> Right Side Menu --> Medical Records --> Documents --> Select document to release to patient portal
- De-select/uncheck the "Staff Only" checkbox and click "Save"
- This singe document is now available for patient viewing in the patient portal.
- Patients will receive SMS and Email notifications as allowed for individual document releases to the patient portal.
