Version 2.13 Release Notes
Better Day Health™ version 2.13 is projected to be released on May 31, 2023. This release includes improvements and bug fixes to improve functionality and overall experience.
- *Improvements to Notification Boxes
- *Imaging Orders are provided in the Imaging grid in the Patient's Medical Record immediately after they are placed in the Treatment Plan of an appointment

Improvements
1. Improvements to Notification Boxes
A. 'Messages' and 'Documents' notification boxes were separated
- Note: Users can see the different Types of Notifications and select which notifications they would like to turn on/off by clicking on any of the notifications boxes and then clicking 'Go to My Notifications' or by going to the Messaging Module and clicking the Notifications Tab

- The following Notification Types will be displayed in the 'Documents' notification box:
- Consultation/Referral Orders
- In-Office Procedures
- New Phone Note
- Document to be Signed
- Notifications about Tasks - Where the Task Title is related to the 'Documents' category of notifications (see bullet point: C. Setting up Task Titles and Categories of Notifications below)
- The following Notification Types will be displayed in the 'Messages' notification box:
- New Secure Message
- Replied Secure Message
- Chat Message
- Notifications about Tasks - Where the Task Title is related to the 'Messages' category of notifications (see bullet point: C. Setting up Task Titles and Categories of Notifications below)
B. 'Other' and 'Urgent' notification boxes were added
- The following Notification Types will be displayed in the 'Other' notification box:
- New Fax
- Notifications about Tasks - Where the Task Title is related to the 'Other' category of notifications
- The following Notification Types will be displayed in the 'Urgent' notification box:
- Notifications about Tasks where the 'Task Priority' is set as 'Urgent' regardless of Task Title/Category of Notification
C. Setting Up Task Titles and Categories of Notifications (Notification Boxes)
- Super Admin users can create, edit, and delete Notifications Boxes (Categories of Notifications) and Task Titles
- Note 1: All changes made will reflect for the whole organization, not just a single clinic.
- Note 2: The default system categories (Documents, Images, Labs, Medications, Messages, Other, and Urgent) can not be edited or removed.

- Notification Boxes can be created, edited, and deleted by going to Super Admin -> Dictionaries -> Categories of Notifications
- Create a new Notification Box by clicking the 'New' button above the grid, choosing a name and category color
- The Task Titles
- Task titles are seen and chosen when creating manually created tasks or when editing system created tasks:
- To Create New, Edit, or Delete Task Titles, go to Super Admin -> Dictionaries -> Titles for Tasks
- Note: For certain system default Task Titles, only the Category can be edited

- Creating a New Task Title: Choose a name and a category of notification
- Reminder: The 'Allow Custom Title' checkbox controls whether or not the staff members have the option to create a custom title in addition to the title chosen:

2. Imaging Orders are provided in the Imaging grid in the Patient's Medical Record immediately after they are placed in the Treatment Plan of an appointment
- What changed: Previously, Imaging Orders were not displayed in the Imaging Grid of the Patient Chart until the appointment was finalized even though the orders were already placed
3. *Improved 'Additional Data' field for medications in Patient Dashboard's Recent Items
- 1. If medication list is updated by Surescripts History, then Additional Data will show if medication is confirmed / not confirmed and a text note 'Imported from Surescripts' will be displayed
- If data is changed for this item, then #3 below should be fulfilled
- 2. If new medication is created, then Additional Data must show if medication is confirmed / not confirmed and a text note 'New Medication / Prescription created' will be displayed
- 3. If medication information is changed then Additional Data must show if medication was confirmed / unconfirmed and a text note 'Medication / Prescription data changed' will be displayed
4. *Improved Fax cover globally

The clinic logo has been added to the Fax Cover and the From section has additional data that will be displayed in this order:
- Fax Number from which Fax was sent

5. *Preventive Service 'Service Date' is Dependent on Vaccination Date When Vaccination Preventive Services are Added via 'Add to History' Button
- Workflow: select a Preventive Service that includes a Vaccination from the Recommended Preventive Services Grid -> Click the 'Add to History' button -> in the Create Vaccination Modal, fill out all required information including the Vaccination Date -> Save -> the Service Date of the chosen Preventive Service will match the date chosen for the Vaccination Date
6. Removed 'Medication Remove' modal in N&S / Providers -> Hx & Symptoms -> Medications
- To reduce the number of clicks and pop-ups, the workflow for marking medications as historical or invalid in N&S / Providers -> Hx & Symptoms -> Medications grid has changed in the to the following:
- 'Is Historical' ->
- Marks the item as Historical and assigns the end date as [TODAY] (unless the item already had an end date)
- Removes the medication from the Medications grid of the appointment
- This medication will not be printed on the encounter documentation but will still be displayed in the patient's medical record in the 'Past Medication' Grid
- 'Invalid' ->
- Removes the medication from the Medications grid of the appointment
- This medication will not be printed on the encounter documentation but will still be displayed in the patient's medical record as an INVALID medication. Invalid Medications can be found by going to the Patient's MR -> Medications -> 'Past Medication' tab -> Open the filter area -> select the 'Show Invalid Items' checkbox
- 'Is Historical' ->
- Note: In the Medications grid located in Patients -> Medications -> New and Current Medications Tab: using the REMOVE button will HARD DELETE the medication from the system.
- To SOFT DELETE a medication and mark it as invalid, the user should open the edit view of the medication and deselect the 'Is Valid' checkbox
